Privacy policy

Effective 18 June 2026.

Big Day is built privacy first. This policy explains what data is, and is not, involved when you use the app.

The short version

• No account, no sign-up. You never give us a name, an email address or a login.
• We do not collect your personal data. Your countdowns stay on your device and in your own iCloud.
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking.

What data is involved

Your countdowns

Titles, dates, colours, icons, notes and photos are stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud account using Apple CloudKit, so they appear on your other devices. This data lives in your private iCloud. We have no access to it and never receive it. Apple processes it under Apple's privacy policy.

Purchases

If you subscribe to Big Day Plus or buy the lifetime unlock, the purchase is processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription provider. To check whether your subscription is active, RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user ID together with purchase and receipt information. It is not linked to your name or identity, and it is used only to deliver and restore your purchase. We never receive your payment details. Notifications

If you turn on reminders they are scheduled locally on your device. No reminder data leaves it.

Photos

If you choose a photo for a countdown you pick it through Apple's system photo picker. The selected image is stored with that countdown, on your device and in your iCloud. The app does not access your photo library beyond the image you explicitly choose.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share your data.
• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays until you remove it. You can delete everything at any time in Settings, then Delete all data, which removes your countdowns from the device and from your iCloud. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained under their own policies.

Children

Big Day is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. The app collects no personal data from anyone.

Your rights

Because we do not hold your personal data, there is nothing for us to export or delete on our servers. Your data is under your control, on your device and in your iCloud account.

Changes

This policy may be updated, and the effective date above will change accordingly.
