Spindrift

Spindrift is a companion app for hand spinners. It holds the whole practice in one place, from the fleece in the basket to the finished skein on the shelf, without ever hurrying you along.

Spinning leaves a trail of details that are easy to lose. What the fibre was, where it came from, which wheel and which ratio, how the twist behaved, what the yarn measured once it was washed. Spindrift keeps all of it together, so the yarn you loved a year ago is still something you can make again.

Projects run from cast-on to finished skein. Log weights, fibre content, twist angle and notes as you go, and the record builds itself while you spin. The stash keeps fleeces, batts and prepared fibre in one list, tracks what has been used, and tells you what is actually waiting for you.

The calculators handle the arithmetic that usually happens on the back of an envelope: wraps per inch, grist, plying, and shrinkage after washing. Wheel and yarn profiles remember your setups so you are not reconstructing them from memory.
