Big Day turns the dates you are looking forward to into bright, glanceable countdowns, and pins them wherever you will actually see them.
Holidays, birthdays, trips, paydays, due dates, anniversaries. Add a countdown, give it a colour and an icon, and watch the days tick down every time you glance at your phone.
The widgets are the point. Home Screen in small, medium and large, Lock Screen in rectangular, circular and inline, and StandBy for the nightstand. Each widget is configurable, so you choose exactly which countdown it shows.
It also gets the small things right, which is where most countdown apps quietly fail. It says Today at zero rather than a stray one. It handles a single day without pluralising it. It uses your local time zone instead of UTC, so a countdown never rolls over at the wrong hour.
You can count up as well as down, repeat an event annually, monthly or weekly, set a local reminder as the day approaches, browse a seasonal template gallery, and export a shareable card for any event.
There is no account and no sign-up. Countdowns sync through your own iCloud, which means they appear on your other devices and never touch a server belonging to anyone else.
